Olympic Torch Relay

Torch arrives at approx 3:20pm
The event at Lister Park Bradford will be a family friendly exhibition of sporting activity. Teams from the Councils Sport Development Unit and Community Play and Activity Development Unit (Inspire Award Winners with Playing for Gold) will be in the park to allow people to have a go at scaled down versions of Olympic Sports as well as taking part in other Olympic related activity such as Torch building, garland, head wreath, Mascot and Medal making activities. The event will help to build excitement in advance of the Torch arriving in the Park at approximately 15:20 on the day.
Presenting partners Coca Cola and Samsung will also be visiting the park to help generate some excitement.
City Park
1pm until 4pm
Torch arrives at approx 2:50pm
This will be a themed event incorporating arts, music and cultural activities, where schools will be invited to join a parade and provide musical performances. City Park will be a fantastic location from which to watch the Torch Relay from s safe traffic free environment with entertainment provided close to the route. Schools are being encouraged to produce a banner or flag and a replica torch to enhance the experience and try to capture a little of the Olympic Magic in Bradford's fantastic new attraction.
