Friends
Numerous community groups operate in the Bradford District with the aim of helping to care, enhance, protect and broaden the enjoyment of their local Park, Woodland or Recreation Ground.
In recognition of the value of these groups, the Parks and Landscape Service has taken steps to encourage greater community involvement with the management of the Districts' open spaces.
New groups such as the Friends Of St. Ives and the Friends Of Harold Park have gone on to form an active Committee, hold various events, make successful funding applications, produce a website and to successfully work with Council Officers to enhance their site.
Current groups include:
- Friends Of Buck Wood - Thackley
- Friends Of Harold Park - Low Moor, Bradford
- Friends Of Judy Woods - Royds, Bradford
- Friends Of Lister Park - Manningham, Bradford
- Friends Of Northcliffe - Shipley
