Bradford Parks

Bradford District Parks - Home

Welcome to the Bradford Parks and Landscape Service website. The Bradford District has thirty six public parks, over one hundred recreation grounds, more than one hundred and forty play areas and large areas of woodlands, managed by the Council's Parks and Landscape Service.

A large number of events are held in the parks every year, including concerts, festivals and agricultural shows. Some of the biggest annual events include the Bradford Mela and Bingley Music Live.

Park Rangers oversee the parks, ensuring they are kept clean, free of litter and safe and secure.

The Service has extensive horticultural nurseries that produce bedding plants and shrubs for use across the District.

It is also responsible for public open spaces, outdoor sports pitches, cemeteries and crematoria.

GreenSTAT is a system that gives local residents the opportunity to comment on the quality of their open spaces and how well they feel they are being managed and maintained. It allows site managers to compare the results with others up and down the country to give a truly national voice of what we think about our open spaces. Have your say www.greenstat.org.uk
