Northcliffe Castle

Northcliffe Park is made up of Northcliffe Woods and Norman Rae Playing Fields. These lovely woods and fields together make up an area of the countryside which appeals to many different people. From bird - or bat - watching, to playing football, beautiful Northcliffe Park has something to offer to everyone.

Access

A footpath surrounds the park which is accessible to all.

Directions

By car

The park's main entrance on the A650 Bradford Road and junction of Otley Road.

By bus

The 662 is a very frequent service which stops on the A650 Bradford Road just outside Northcliffe Park. For bus timetable information contact Metro on 0113 2457676 or www.wymetro.com

Facilities

Fenced in Play Area

Free to use, open 24 hours. No entry allowed to persons over 14 unless supervising a child.

Bowls

Open in the afternoons from April until September. Anyone can use the bowling green. You pay your bowls fee onsite at the bowls hut which is run by the Bowls Club. Standard charges apply. Booking the green is recommended - Contact Malcolm Wright (Area Parks Manager) on 01274 437028 for further details. If you are interested in joining the bowls club you can contact Malcolm for further information.

Tennis

Equipment can be hired from the bowls club when it is open in the afternoon. Standard charges apply. If the bowls hut is shut and the courts are not in use by the tennis club, anyone can play for free. For more information, contact Malcolm Wright (Area Parks Manager) on 01274 437028.

Sports Pitch

Open 24 hours. Free, but charges apply for club use. If you are interested in letting this pitch for club use please contact Malcolm Wright (Area Parks Manager) on 01274 437028 for further information.

Flower Gardens

Northcliffe Park has some beautifully stocked flower gardens around the park.

Friends of Northcliffe Park is an active group which operates with the aim of helping to care, enhance, protect and broaden the enjoyment of their local Park. If you are interested in joining, the group would be delighted to hear from you.
