Ladyhill Park

Ladyhill is a spacious park with an excellent play area and a well maintained bowling green. Come and spend an afternoon meandering round the paths, or watch the local football team on a Sunday morning.

Opening times

All Bradford District Parks are open 365 days a year, 24 hours.


There is level access via Chapel Lane or Allerton Road, both are suitable for pedestrians and the majority of manual and electric wheelchairs. Authorised vehicle access only.


By car

Approximately 3.5 mile from Bradford City Centre, follow the B6145 Thornton Road from the city centre, turn right onto Allerton Road. After appromimately 1 mile the entrance to the park is on the left, Chapel Lane.

By bus

Several routes pass near Ladyhill Park including 616, 617, 618. For bus timetable information contact Metro on 0113 2457676 or


Fenced in Play Area

Free to use, open 24 hours. No entry allowed to persons over 14 unless supervising a child.


Open 1 - 5pm from April until September. Anyone can use the bowling green. You pay your bowls fee onsite at the bowls hut. You can also hire equipment here for a deposit of £5. Standard charges apply. Booking the green is recommended.   If you are interested in joining the bowls club you can contact them direct. 

Football Pitch

Open 24 hours. Free, but charges apply for club football use. If you are interested in letting this pitch for club football please contact Simon Drake (Area Parks Manager) on 01274 431564 for further information.


There is a circular walk of approximately 665 metres with benches, litter bins and information boards situated by the entrances.

Veterans Hut

For further information please contact Simon Drake (Area Parks Manager) on 01274 431564. This facility is used by Allerton Children’s Centre.
