Silsden Park

Silsden Park is a large, open park, with several different areas for taking part in sports activities or for taking a walk. Set right in the heart of Silsden, there are numerous opportunities to get involved in a healthy lifestyle whilst enjoying the fresh air. Why not learn how to play bowls, or have a game of tennis, or even come down to watch some of the local sports teams in action on a Sunday.

Opening Times

All Bradford District Parks are open 365 days a year, 24 hours.

Access

Access is available from Banklands Lane or Mitchell Lane.

Directions

By Car

From Silsden Town Centre head along the A6034 Bolton Road, travel along Banklands Lane and the park is on the right hand side.

By Bus

Buses 762, 765, and 903 all stop on Boldon Road outside Silsden Park. For bus timetable information contact Metro on 0113 2457676 or www.wymetro.com. Information is also available on the Keighley and District buses website or on 01535 603284.

Facilities

Fenced in Play Area. Free to use, open 24 hours. No entry allowed to persons over 14 unless supervising a child.

Skate Park

Free to use, open 24 hours. Silsden Park has a great skate park for both skate-boarding and BMXing.

Bowls

Open 10.00-16.00, Tuesday – Sunday, April - October. Anyone can use the bowling green. You pay your bowls fee onsite at the bowls hut which is run by the Bowls Club. Standard charges apply. If you are interested in joining the bowls club you can contact Mel Smith (Area Parks Manager) on 01535 618068 for more information.

Tennis

Free to use. There are two tennis courts in Silsden Park which are open from April to October.

Sports Pitch. Open 24 hours. There is one rugby and one football pitch. Free, but charges apply for club use. These pitches are let out to various teams. If you are interested in letting this pitch for club use please contact Mel Smith (Area Parks Manager) on 01535 618068 for further information.
