Bowling Park is is a Victorian formal park close to the centre of Bradford totaling 31 hectares, of which 8.9 hectares is woodland. It is surrounded by housing and industry. The park and its trees form a green space which is a valuable recreational resource for the area and the trees in particular break up the urban landscape.
There is no known management plan for the trees, though it is evident that ongoing management has occured with formative pruning and possible safety work having taken place. Sadly other areas show considerable neglect.
