Chellow Dene Wood
Chellow Dene, which the wood shares with a reservoir is a small glacial overflow valley connecting the valleys of the river Aire and Bradford Beck. Although occupying a large area it is somewhat hidden. The predominant land use is housing, there is low grade pasture to east and south, and a golf course to the north. Despite the somewhat urban nature of the site there is a reasonable wildlife presence with deer regularly sighted
