Cliffe Castle Park
An area of woodland attached to CliffeCastle, Keighley’s premier park, and formerly a private residence. The wooded area was probably part of a larger estate at one time. Located on the western side of the Aire valley immediately north of the town ofKeighleythe wood is bounded by the park, housing, and school playing fields. A number of other woods are close by, extending northwards up the Aire valley, and there may be some connectivity in terms of wildlife movement.
The following species have been recorded inCliffeCastle;pipistrelle bat, skylark, house sparrow, starling, song thrush and lapwing.
