Harden Moor Deep Cliff Wood
Deep Cliff Wood is located at the southern edge of Harden Moor. The moor itself is typical south pennine heather moorland, and connects with more extensive examples of this habitat to the west. Deep Cliff Wood is as its name suggests a steeply sided clough valley which drains the moor. The lower end of the wood adjoins thevillageofHarden.
There are no known records of ecological surveys of this wood, however badgers, bats, cuckoo and lesser spotted woodpecker have been seen in the wood
