Bell Bank Wood St Ives Community Woodland

Bell Bank Wood is one of a number of woodlands on St. Ives Country Park, formerly an estate in the ownership of the Ferrand family. This wood occupies a particularly prominent position on the south eastern corner of the estate on a steeply sloping site overlooking and forming a backdrop to the town of Bingley. To the north and west are meadows and beyond those the rest of the estate which is a mosaic of woods and meadows. Most of the estate is now given over to recreational use, Bell Bank as part of that, is a very popular wood for visitors. Compartment A is new plantation , a memorial woodland created as part of the Bradford Can fund raising appeal to aid cancer research.
